Northeast LA

Council District 14 in Northeast Los Angeles includes the northern section of Highland Park including the neighborhood of Garvanza, a portion of Glassell Park, and the majority of Eagle Rock.

Northeast Los Angeles is one of the oldest parts of Los Angeles, with Highland Park and Garvanza being annexed by the city in the late 1800's. Eagle Rock was incorporated as a separate city in 1911 and merged with the City of Los Angeles in 1923. Eagle Rock City Hall, the site of the old City of Eagle Rock's municipal services, now serves as the Northeast Los Angeles Field Office for Council District 14.
