Take Back the Boulevard (TBTB) is a partnership between Eagle Rock community organizations and the City of Los Angeles to make pedestrian and bicycle improvements along Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock. In 2016, then State Senate Pro Temp de León supported the city’s successful application for state Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 2 funds to implement TBTB. The city was awarded $10 million in ATP Cycle 2 funding, and combined with $2 million from Metro, has begun construction on the TBTB project. The project includes sidewalk repair, street trees, traffic signals, and curb extensions along Colorado Boulevard between Broadway and Figueroa Street.
